The Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM) is one of the nation’s leading fertility clinics providing a wide variety of treatments ranging from basic infertility care to the most advanced in vitro fertilization (IVF) technology available today.
CCRM was founded in 1987 by Dr. William Schoolcraft and since its inception, has achieved national recognition for clinical excellence and advanced research in the field of reproductive medicine.
Led by four renowned physicians, CCRM has a team of research scientists, embryologists and professional staff dedicated to helping patients achieve their dream of having a baby.
CCRM's team of fertility specialists is one of the most respected groups in the nation. We are recognized for our success rates and scientific achievements in the field of reproductive endocrinology.
We have helped thousands of couples achieve their dream of parenthood. Nearly half of our patients travel to Colorado from other states and countries for treatment. Many of our patients have undergone unsuccessful IVF cycles elsewhere.
CCRM offers the largest egg donor program in Colorado. All donors are carefully screened before being accepted into the program.
For Out-of-State or International Patients:
While located in Colorado, CCRM has assisted thousands of couples from around the world in their desire to become a family.
We welcome all patients to our Center, and we try to coordinate our patients' care with their individual needs. The following steps will assist patients from out-of-state and other countries who seek care in our Center. (The steps are the same for in vitro fertilization and patients who may need egg donation.)
There are various housing opportunities available within a short distance of our Center, including hotels, motels, and apartments. Many couples enjoy making short site-seeing trips into the Rocky Mountains while they are visiting us for treatment. In addition, there are fine restaurants, museums, and other cultural activities in Denver for your enjoyment.

Basic Infertility Services:
- Natural Cycle Monitoring
- Ovulation induction
- Intrauterine Insemination
- Minimally invasive surgery such as laparoscopy or hysteroscopy
In Vitro Fertilization:
The steps involved in an IVF treatment cycle include controlled ovarian hyperstimulation, egg retrieval, fertilization and embryo culture, and embryo transfer. Embryo freezing is also done if there are extra embryos remaining after the embryo transfer is done.
Male Factor Infertility:
The laboratory technique of Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (or ICSI) has revolutionized the way we can treat male infertility. Even men with no sperm in their semen can father a pregnancy if the urologist extracts sperm from the man's epididymis or testicle for use in IVF. The success rate with this technique varies considerably among IVF programs and is highly dependent upon the skill of the embryologist performing the procedure.
Preimplantation Genetic Screening:
The Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine is pleased to offer Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS), a form of genetic testing that allows couples at risk for certain chromosomal or genetic disorders to have embryos tested before a pregnancy is established.
Comprehensive Chromosome Screening (CCS):
The Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM) is conducting a clinical trial screening for all 23 pairs of human chromosomes prior to embryo transfer.
Egg Freezing:
At CCRM, we performed an initial clinical trial freezing oocytes for patients who desired pregnancy in the near future so that we would be able to thaw those eggs in a short time and determine survival rates, fertilization rates, and pregnancy rates. With this new method of vitrification, we have achieved egg survival rates of approximately 80%, fertilization rates of over 80%, and pregnancy rates above 50%.
Fertility After Cancer:
recent years more and more insurances are starting to cover infertility diagnostic testing and some basic infertility treatment at the same time others are dropping their IVF benefits. While insurance coverage is still rare for IVF it is more likely to be offered through a large employer group.
We realize that each couple’s situation is different, but for many couples the cost of infertility can be an added source of stress to the infertility process. Our goal at CCRM is to help you be informed about your insurance coverage on insurance that we participate with, and we will provide you with additional resources to manage the financial aspects of your care. If you have any insurance questions, please contact our Business Office at 303-781-1085.
