Wheather you are an out-of-state patient or an international patient, our Guest Services representative is stationed at the main entrance to the hospital and is there to help you with special needs. Our International Patient Services assist with the special needs of international patients and families, including help in obtaining medical appointments, lodging, travel, transportation, interpreters and financial arrangements.

* Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident living in the United States for a minimum of one year. (Patients need not be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to qualify for financial assistance at Howard County General Hospital)
* Have exhausted all insurance options.
* Have been denied Medical Assistance or do not meet eligibility requirements.
* Meet other criteria for financial assistance, which is based on information you will be asked to provide regarding your income, assets and outstanding debt.
