-The first step to becoming a patient at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is to contact our International Services Office. Our Coordinators are fluent in many languages and can discuss all aspects of your care.

-Our Coordinators can assist with the process of obtaining Visas & Passports should you decide to seek care at NewYork-Presbyterian.

-To expedite your request, medical records must be sent to International Services.

-Your International Services Coordinator will assist you with:

* Financial Agreement
* Health Care Proxy
* Credit Card Authorization Charge Form
* Authorization to Disclose Protected Health Information/Medical Records

Interpreter Services:

Professional medical interpreters are available to interpret for patients, family members and health care providers upon request. All patients who request this service will be provided with an interpreter at no cost.

Our Hospital offers interpreter services in over 140 languages, including American Sign Language for deaf or hard of hearing patients. Our interpreters are trained to show respect for cultural practices and beliefs and to follow strict policies with regard to patient privacy and confidentiality.

If you need an interpreter, please let us know when you arrive at our hospital for care. Simply notify any member of our staff and we will obtain one for you.
