Hoag’s cardiac surgeons are among the top in the nation and are exclusive to Hoag Hospital. Hoag’s valve surgery program is internationally recognized for expertise in complex valve surgery and mitral valve repair. In addition, Hoag Heart & Vascular Institute is a leader in cardiovascular medicine offering the most advanced and pioneering surgical techniques including minimally invasive heart surgery, intraoperative ablation for treatment of arrhythmia, beating heart surgery, and heart bypass with endoscopic vein harvesting.

Hoag Heart & Vascular Institute physicians perform more surgeries and procedures with better outcomes than any other hospital in the county. These also include stent graft therapy for abdominal aortic aneurysm and carotid endarectomy.

Neuroscience Center:

Hoag is now Orange County?s only non-academic medical center with a dedicated neuroscience center, offering prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment for stroke, brain tumors, dementia, epilepsy, Parkinson?s disease and more.

With significant expertise in these specialties, Hoag’s neuroscience programs have already received high acclaim. Hoag?s brain tumor program is the largest in Orange County and second largest in Southern California. Hoag has the largest stereotactic program in Orange County and among the top volume programs in the western United States.
