– Cancer

Ohio State?s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James) is a world-class research and healthcare enterprise focused on the prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer for patients in Ohio and beyond.

As one of only 40 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country, our team of researchers, physicians, nurses and allied medical professionals all specialize in researching and treating cancer.

– Critical Care

The Center?s vision is pursuing an integrated critical care delivery system that creates a better future for patients with life-threatening illness through research, education and innovative patient care.

– Heart

Our exceptional team of heart-care experts are working together to take heart care to a new level – from vascular surgery and heart transplants to the very latest treatments for heart failure.

– Imaging

Our imaging program is continually focused on developing and applying imaging technology advancements for better detection, assessment and treatment of medical conditions and diseases.

– Neurosciences

Our Neurosciences Program includes Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Otolaryngology and Psychiatry. Neurosciences faculty work closely in conjunction with the Cancer and Imaging Signature Programs.

– Transplantation

We?re consistently ranked among the top 10 in the nation for the number of transplants performed annually. Our Center includes: Blood and Marrow Transplantation, Kidney Transplantation, Liver Transplantation, Pancreas Transplantation, Heart Transplantation and Lung Transplantation.


Our six signature programs and our supporting programs are key to providing science-based and individually tailored patient care to people in central Ohio and beyond. Also positioning us for advancements with personalized health care is our new Biomedical Research Tower (BRT). This impressive structure nearly doubles the amount of biomedical research space at the Medical Center.
